Every day is a new quit smoking story

There are some days when I don't think about smoking. Then there are some days when all I think about is smoking. But lately, it's been every day that is quit smoking day for me. The weather is nice outside finally, and it's very hard to not want to step outside and enjoy the day with a cig.

But after I cheat, I feel horrible, both mentally and physically. What's an addict to do? I wish they would ban ciggarettes completely so nobody would have the temptation to smoke.

Free trial of new quit smoking patch

Here's a link to a free trial of new quit smoking patch. I figured this could help anyone out there that might want to quit smoking.

Today I cheated and it was horrible. The sun was out and I had just eaten a big lunch that was really good. I had a beer too. The guy down stairs had a pack and broke down and had one. It was good, and bad. I'm weak, but I didn't enjoy it afterward. Blah, tastes bad. I guess that means I'm close to being completely quit?

Reader Mail: Quit Smoking Blog

I am in the process of trying to quit smoking, and it is very difficult. I have been on Wellbutrin for over a month now, and the secret with Wellbutrin is to quit after two weeks of taking the medicine. Otherwise, it doesn't work as well. I have smoked at least one pack per day for 8 years. Now that I have gotten down to one cigarette per day, my lungs are killing me and I am having a hard time breathing. I can feel my lungs retaliating and it is making my back feel like it is in a thousand spasms. Is this a normal symptom of withdrawl?

I've heard that Wellbutin works. A friend of mine tried it. That's a good tip. Your spasms sound very irregular. I think you should see a doctor for sure. Good luck quitting!

Summer Weather Makes Me Want To Smoke Again

It's really tough when the weather gets good in the midwest. Especially after all the horrible rain and snow, and all you want to do is go outside and have a party...and smoke.

The sun is out, you're having a drink and relaxing after working in the yard, and man, doesn't that sound great, to sit down and have a cig for 5 minutes? It sure does. Fortunately, I have't given in and went and bought any. Maybe I should just stay indoors and try to stay away from the sun!
