I've gone a while now without smoking

Today was an especially hard day to quit smoking, with the weather being so nice here. But today I resisted and all went well. The tempation to smoke was there, believe me, and I almost broke down and did it.

The worst time of the year is coming for me now with the fall weather that makes me crave nicotine.

Fall weather makes it hard to quit smoking

Here comes the fall weather. You know where it's cool and crisp, and the taste of your favorite cig is just right on an afternoon. That's tough for me as someone who's trying desperately to quit.

I have a question. If you quit, yet, you still "cheat" and have a few smokes a few times a week, does that mean you're not fully quit? Really, if you used to smoke a pack a day, now only a few a week, is it still that bad?

Don't answer that, because I know it is that bad. But at least it's not a whole pack a day.

Darn You Smoke!!!

I cannot stop smoking. I'm regressing for sure. It might be time to try and go back on some type of stop smoking gum or something because this is getting worse. I hope all of the readers of this blog are doing better than I am. I'm weak!

Today I had one after lunch, which is a major trigger for most smokers. After you eat I mean. I need to stop smoking, fast!

I smoked a cigar yesterday

So much for less nicotine. I was with a friend yesterday out and we got a couple of cigars. I inhaled it a bunch of times and it was good. What a rush. I've always disliked cigars because they just take too long to smoke. Smoking to me was a break, not a journey.

I think cigars are just as bad for you I guess. I would have preferred to have a smoke instead, especially with the nice scotch I was drinking. That makes it extra, extra hard to not smoke. The cigar took me forever to finish and I didn't really feel like smoking anymore after that, which is one good thing about it. I need to stop smoking completely!
